LIQUID THATCH DEGRADER & SOIL AMENDMENT

DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN CLEAR-FLOŽ 7114 is a scientifically balanced formulation of twenty-five strains of Bacillus microbes, selected for their ability to degrade xylan, lignin and cellulose found in thatch, and break down fertilizer and other compounds, turning them into compounds that are easily utilized by turf and plants, thereby reducing runoff. To compliment the microbes in ALKEN CLEAR-FLOŽ 7114, a blend of high and low molecular humified soil extracts offer humates, to promote chelation of nutrients, fulvic acids, to buffer stressed plant hormone levels and ulmic acids to increase assimilation of the vitamins, minerals and micronutrients naturally contained in these extracts plus cytokinins, to enhance health of turf and plants where this formula is applied. Yucca schidigera liquid extract, was selected to contribute additional cytokinins and to act as a natural humectant/surfactant, to enhance water retention by the soil and distribute the other ingredients.

CHARACTERISTICS:

 Appearance:  Dark brown liquid
Bacteria count:  100 million CFU/ml (378 billion colony forming units of bacteria per gallon)
Bacterial Strains: 10 species of Bacillus microbes (0.5% of formula)
 Odor:  Slightly sulfurous, earthy odor
 Stability:  2 years

ADVANTAGES:

  • Degrades thatch to improve percolation.
  • Improves water-holding capacity of soil.
  • Improves gas exchange and air circulation in soil.
  • Enhances exchange capacity and buffering properties by increasing nutrient availability.
  • Increases the permeability of plant and bacterial membranes to promote the absorption of nutrients.
  • Enables pesticides and fertilizers to circulate better, so that reduced dosages are equally effective.
  • Provides plants and bacteria with macro and micro-nutrients.
  • All natural surfactant and humectant.
  • Two strains of Bacillus contribute heteroauxins, indole acetic acid and indole carboxylic acid from tryptophan, required by plants for protein synthesis, respiration, root initiation, RNA synthesis and enzyme activity.
  • Four strains of Bacillus contribute gibberellin-like substances , phytohormones used by plants to help them elongate their roots, germinate their seeds and either enhance or delay leaf senescence.
  • NO CHEMICAL surfactants or extracted enzymes.

DOSAGES:

Shake or mix jug or pail thoroughly, to assure well-blended dispensing of all ingredients. Dilute concentrated Alken CF 7114 as follows: mix 3 oz of concentrate with 1.5 to 3 gallons of water for every 1000 ft2 (for 1 acre, mix 1 gallon of concentrate with 65 to 100 gallons of water), once every 10 days for the first month, then apply once every 2 to 3 weeks, thereafter. Spray evenly over the turf to be treated, using commercial foliar spray or tank mixing system. Product can be applied down to 45 F, but will be more effective when the temperature is above 50 F. Application after vericutting or aerating the soil will give even faster results.

AVOID spraying on blossoms or applying pesticides for at least 24 hours before and/or after application of ALKEN CLEAR-FLOŽ 7114. AVOID applying concentrated ALKEN CLEAR-FLOŽ 7114 formula without dilution.

PACKAGING and HANDLING:

ALKEN CLEAR-FLOŽ 7114 is packaged as a box with 2 x 2.5 gallon jugs or in a single 5 gallon plastic pail with spout for pouring. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid inhalation of mist and wash hands with warm soapy water after handling.
