**DESCRIPTION:**
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100-50x is is a liquid super-concentrate of nitrifying bacteria designed to control ammonia and nitrite in fish hatcheries, fish farms, lobster pens, prawn farms, natural lakes, ponds and rivers. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100-50x is particularly popular for intensive cultivation of aquatic species, where high buildup of excess nutrients leads to proliferation of excess algae and other problems. Where BOD/COD is also high, it is recommended that one of the ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1000 series dry products be used to degrade excess organics and suspended fecal matter and solids. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100-50x was created to save transportation costs and to allow shipment in coolers with cold-packs to maintain low temperature.

for average application rates. A dirty or contaminated system would require a higher dosage than one that is relatively clean. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100-50x should be applied twice each week in order to ensure that an adequate number of bacteria are present at all times for the removal of ammonia. Application may be done manually, by Super Soaker™, or by means of a chemical metering pump. Nitrifiers consume 7.2 ppm of alkalinity for each ppm of ammonia oxidized to nitrate. Adjust alkalinity, if necessary, to stay within that range. Avoid using algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using any ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® product.

**DIRECTIONS FOR DILUTION:**
If you wish to dilute the product for resale as regular CF 1100, (1 part product + 49 parts water) mix 378 ml of concentrate with 18.54 liters of distilled or filtered water (no chlorine or other pesticides and no stray bacteria) in a clean 6 gallon pail with a vented cap in the lid. This allows a 1 gallon head space and allows air to enter and leave through the vented cap, which, together with the chemical preservative system, will preserve the product at room temperature for up to 6 months. Do NOT over-dilute product or you will defeat the preservative system in the product and it will rapidly die unless applied to a pond.

**PACKAGING AND HANDLING:**
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100-50x is packaged in a 1 pint bottle and a 1.2 gallon jug inside a cooler with refreezer Ice Brix and STP media vial to verify survival of product. The 1.2 gallon jug is 12 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Five to seven jugs can be stored on their sides next to each other on the standard refrigerator shelf. These jugs must be stored in a refrigerator to maintain a 1 year shelf-life. Do not dilute each gallon of concentrate with more than 49 gallons of filtered water in a 55 gallon drum with a vented lid. Diluted product may be stored at room temperature for 6 months. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and open wounds. Wash your hands with warm, soapy water after handling this product. Update: 03-06-2003
